About CFFUCalifornia Fly Fishers Unlimited (CFFU) is a non-profit community organization serving Sacramento and statewide. Since its inception in 1962, the club’s objective has been to promote awareness and participation in the art of fly fishing along with enhancement and preservation of resources through conservation efforts and in-school programs. Along with community service activities, the club holds technical fly fishing clinics, fly tying lessons, and casting classes for the new and experienced angler. See the menus above for more information.
Outing and ActivitiesGetting together is just one CFFU benefit. We hold monthly socials and meetings featuring guest speakers who present fly fishing techniques and information on prime fishing destinations. Best yet, the club sponsors fishing outings to various fisheries in California and beyond.

Who We Are
Our club members are a diverse group of fly fishers represented from beginners to experts. We fish from Alaska and British Columbia to Belize and Patagonia and from Christmas Island to New Zealand. We also spend considerable time right in our own back yard, fishing the American River for Salmon, Steelhead, trout, and shad. We fish local lakes and reservoirs for warmwater species such as smallmouth and largemouth bass and we fish the Sacramento River delta for striped bass.
