Annual Dinner
The annual dinner is one of CFFU's few money raising events. Donations of equipment and supplies for raffles, auctions and door prizes are received from supporters of CFFU's objective -- to promote increase awareness and participation in the art of fly fishing and preservation of our resources.
VIEW DONATIONS> ANNUAL DINNER Date: Sunday, March 15, 202 Location: California Auto Museum 2200 Front Street, Sacramento Contact: Laurie Banks (916) 709-1309 The CFFU 2020 Annual Dinner and Fundraiser will be held at the California Auto Museum on March 15th. Although the dinner officially starts at 3:30 p.m., attendees can come early to browse the auto displays. Betty Pfeifer will provide an amazing spread of complementary appetizers and Tim Au-Young will have the no-host bar open. Rich and Jim Berdan sell raffle tickets under the pop-up tent. You can buy raffle tickets and start bidding on the silent auction items immediately.
Dress is casual. Men traditionally wear anything from nice fishing shirts and good jeans to suits. Women wear anything from nice jeans to dresses. Bring a sweater or light jacket. Although the museum is a warehouse you would never know it! Watch the CFFU Year in Review slide show on the big screen. Listen to Andy Penn's smooth jazz trio.The side room and stage are filled with raffle and silent auction items. The terrific committee transforms the warehouse area into a warm inviting room, full of friendly spirit! Buffet style dinner is served at 6:00 p.m. It includes tri-tip, chicken, roasted potatoes, salad, rolls, seasonal vegetables, cooked onsite and served by the Buckhorn staff (a vegetarian option is available). Coffee and cake follow for dessert. Rob Scafe is our emcee and professional auctioneer Justin Trick runs our live auction. I hope to see you there! Donations Requested
Please donate or procure donations for CFFU's only fundraiser. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations should be given to Laurie Banks. We would appreciate receiving donations at least a month before the dinner if possible. You can help benefit the cause by donating something you own or made, asking businesses to donate goods or services, putting together a gift basket, or choose any other imaginative idea. Please bring your donations to the general meeting, or mail them to Laurie Banks, 2443 Fair Oaks Blvd #209, Sacramento, CA 95825, or call me to arrange a pick-up.
