Do you want to renew your CFFU Dues, but can't understand how to do it with the new forms?
Did you fill out the New Membership or the Renewal form, but didn't understand what to do next?

We hope the information below will help!

There are TWO parts to joining CFFU 
    * You must fill out and submit the Application Form for  a NEW membership. 
    * You must pay the dues for whichever membership you choose.
BOTH steps must be completed.

IMPORTANT:  The CFFU application includes a waiver.  CFFU Members are required to "sign" this waiver annually and submit it with their dues payment.  If you do not submit your application form, you will not be included on the membership roster.  Please be sure that BOTH steps listed above have been completed.

Use the link above left hand side, to JOIN or to RENEW your dues,. Click on the appropriate button and it will open the new, condensed membership form which includes the waiver, in Adobe Acrobat format, in a new window. If you have a slow connection, it may take a minute or two.   
     Tab to each block and fill out the entire form. Phone numbers should be entered without ( ) or dashes, e.g. 9162345678. Be sure you place an X in the "I Accept" box at the bottom of the form, along with your name and use the calendar to select the current date. Failure to fill in all required fields will result in an error message and you will need to go back and fill in the highlighted field.
    There are two buttons on the bottom of the form, one for "Send Form to CFFU" and one to "Pay Dues". Click on "Send Form to CFFU". A message box will open with instructions, BUT THEY MAY BE CONFUSING!  Click on the SAVE FORM button, decide where to SAVE your form (and be sure you make a note of what you name it and where you save it) and tell it to SAVE. (The message box will return for your use in completing the transaction.) Then you will open your regular e-mail program, compose an e-mail just like you always do, address it to your CFFU Webmeister at either larneph@pacbell.net or plarne@cffu.org , be sure you ATTACH or INSERT the data from the  Renewal or New Member Form you just filled out, and SEND.  Please use the subject "CFFU Renewal" or "CFFU New Member" and write a very short note stating who you are and what you are sending.
    Be sure to make a copy of the filled-out form for your files!

   Or, you may want to just print it and fill it out, then mail it using U.S. mail service. 

APPLICATION FORM CHOICES - 

If you decide to renew your membership online using our new interactive Membership Application, here are some helpful instructions and hints. Your Membership form will be e-mailed to the CFFU Webmeister as a coded document when you follow the instructions below:

FILL OUT ONLINE AND E-MAIL TO CFFU!

Fill it out online and print it, and then mail it using U.S. mail service

If you decide you would rather send your application by U.S. Mail, you have an option to fill it out online, print it and then mail it to CFFU at the address at the bottom of the form.  Be sure to either pay your dues using PayPal, (see directions below), or mail a check with your application form.

First of all, you will appreciate knowing that paying this way is secure, all of your personal data is encrypted, and ALL of the info goes directly into the CFFU account. Your private financial information is not viewed by any CFFU member. The CFFU treasurer only receives notice of your payment amount and the type of membership. This method will also save time and money for CFFU.

Print it, and then mail it using U.S. mail service

If you are just not comfortable with trying to type your information onto the form, all you need to do is PRINT the form.  Now you can fill it out using a pen, and mail it to CFFU using the address at the bottom of the form.  You may want to fill out a second one for a record of what you sent in.  Be sure to either pay your dues using PayPal, (see directions below), or mail a check with your application form.

PART 2 - PAY YOUR DUES!

   Or, do you want to mail it using U.S. mail service?

   Or, you may want to just pay at the next meeting.. 

DUES PAYMENT CHOICES - 

Now that you have taken care of your Renewal Application / Waiver Form, it is time to PAY your CFFU Dues. The quickest and easiest way is to use the "PAY DUES" button at the bottom of the form you have filled out. Click on it and it will take you to a page on our CFFU website where you may select the type of membership you are renewing.
    NEW Members will want to select from the choices at the top half of the page. 
    RENEWING Members, Note that near the top of the page is a "DUES RENEWAL" in bright red print. If you click on it, you will be quickly re-directed to the bottom half of the page where the RENEWAL options are located.
    Click on the PAY NOW button for the type of Membership you want to JOIN OR RENEW and a PayPal window will open where you may pay. You have the option of using your PayPal account if you have one (You'll need your account identification and your password), or you may create a PayPal account if you don't have one, or you can pay without a PayPal account without any problem.  If you don't want to use a PayPal account, just choose the option to continue to pay. 
    Follow the PayPal instructions filling out the required information for your credit card. Be sure to follow it all the way through to where it tells you to confirm PAY. When you are finished, be sure you print your receipt for your records. That's all there is to it!  After you finish it should return you to the CFFU Website and a "Thank you for paying" page.
    It is easy and it is a safe transaction.

If you decide to renew your membership online using our new PayPal feature, here are some helpful instructions and hints. Confirmation that you have paid your dues will be e-mailed to the CFFU Treasurer, who in turn provides a report of members who have paid, to the CFFU Membership Chairman.

If you don't want to use PayPal, you may send a check to CFFU, using the address at the bottom of the Application Form.

While this may be the option you prefer, don't forget that it will take up time for both YOU and for the Membership Chairman at the meeting.  Perhaps you would rather use this time to visit with other members or to watch the fly tying demo?  If so, it would be far better to use one of the above options.
