CFFU ANNUAL FLY FISHING CLINIC REPORT

California Fly Fishers Unlimited held its Annual Fly Fishing Clinic at the Camp Pollock Boy Scout facility in Sacramento from 9 am to 4 pm. The clinic was open to both CFFU members and non members.

Events included a fly fishing gear swap meet from 9 am to 11 am and book sale of fly fishing related publications from our extensive library inventory.

CFFU volunteers hosted an "Introduction to fly fishing" area where guests could receive hands-on instruction on setting up their equipment and ask questions about the various options for rigging their lines. Fly casting instruction was also available with both group and individual instruction for all levels of casting experience. Guests could also try their hand at casting various size fly rods and lines with the help of an instructor.

Guest also had the opportunity to tie their first fly or just observe the art of fly tying by our many experienced tyers.

A taxidermy display was also available to show visitors how they could mount their catch without harming the fish.
