ANNUAL BBQ REPORT
By Earlene Coldiron

By all accounts, the CFFU 2011 Annual BBQ on Thursday May 19, 2011 was a success. We had 68 individuals who committed to attend this year's BBQ. The weather played nice and cooperated with our event. Howard and Donna Ross again graciously allowed the club the use of their home for the evening. The OTTERS demonstrated their dedication to the club by setting-up all of the tables and chairs for the evening. It appeared as if almost everyone helped with the taking down and clean-up of the function.
As chairperson for the event, I have to thank everyone for helping to make this a memorable event. Brandie and Arthur Herron were supportive committee members, and took some great photos. Our president Tim Landrus created a path for any chairperson to follow. Treasurer Jim Berdan did an awesome job of processing the reimbursements so efficiently. Beth Ison was especially helpful supplying beverages. Rich Wilson was terrific, he has a handle on all of the supplies from tables to napkins, I love his organization. Bob and Phoebe Larne, thank you for supplying the name tag holders and yes, I have them safely tucked away
for the Annual Dinner. Carl Lang you are the best, thank you for keeping the gatecrashers away, outstanding work.
Sandra Dee's Restaurant catered the event and they provided an excellent meal. They are already on board for next year.
Gary Howard your special brews were appreciated and well received; also, Vince Jacobs sent wine to an event he wasn't able to attend, so on behalf of the club thank you. I have been told that Jack Harris has the beverage tending position sewed up for next year. Good work Jack.
Jeff Howard your Caesar salad was a big success, and I have first-hand knowledge that it was gone long before the servers had a chance to sample it.
The dessert table was over-flowing with wonderful items; thanks to everyone who brought a dish.
I apologize to anyone I failed to mention. However, I do have to deliver a special thank you to my best fishing buddy, for his willingness to stand alongside me in a mountain stream and help me organize the BBQ by hurtling and then delivering all of the supplies stacked in our entry-way. Thanks JC.
